Stone Elementary School was
established in 1999 on land graciously donated by Mr. and Mrs. Roy Stone.
Our facility is designed to house 650 students in kindergarten through grade
eight. Stone Elementary is technologically equipped and offers a variety of special area classes including Art, Music, Library, Physical Education, Guidance and Computer. We provide a Comprehensive Development Class and resource teachers for students with special needs. We offer additional programs including Accelerated Reader, Math Their Way, SMILE (mentoring program), DARE (Drug and Alcohol Resistance Education), Family Reading Night, TAD (Teens Against Drugs), tutoring and year round enrichment oppotunities. Many extracurricular activities are offered at Stone Elementary too. For those with athletic interests, we have football, boys and girls basketball, girls softball, boys and girls volleyball, cross-country, and cheerleading. We have band and string orchestra for students who enjoy music. Other activities offered are Student Council, 4-H, Chess, BETA, Fellowship of Christian Students, Yearbook and Science Club.
