4th GRADE |
We believe that all students should work together as a classroom community. Under the guidance of the teacher, students can help one another be successful. We believe in organized, well-managed classrooms in which positive behavior is encouraged.
Special Programs:
- Fairfield Glade Art Guild – Two volunteers work with all fourth graders to enhance our art curriculum through the study of famous artists.
- Knoxville Symphony – Our music teacher organizes this cultural trip to the Cumberland County Playhouse.
- 4-H fourth graders are able to participate for the first time in this club. This enriches our language arts by giving the children opportunities to give speeches, demonstrations, and other activities related to 4-H.
- Scholastic Weekly Readers – Most classes use this current periodical to supplement all areas of our curriculum.

- Accelerated Reader – Setting comprehension and point goals are rewarded with special activities. (This program strengthens our reading program but is not tied to a grade.)
