Band

 Beginning Band meets each Tuesday and Friday from 7:10-7:40 a.m.  The Advanced Band meets each Monday and Wednesday from 7:10-7:40 a.m.

 Band is open to all students in grades 5-8 who are in good standing at Stone Elementary.  Students who participate are expected to be present and on time for each class session as well as for practice outside of class.  Band instruments include:  flute, trumpet, saxophone, clarinet, trombone, and percussion.  Students must provide an instrument of adequate quality in good working order and instruction book(s):  Beginning - Essential Elements Book 1 (red) and Advanced - Essential Elements Books 1 and 2.  Instrument rental and purchase lists are available upon request.

 Various programs are scheduled as appropriate and students are required to be present.  Each winter students are encouraged to audition for ALL COUNTY BAND.
