The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) at Stone Elementary is an organization of parents and teachers who are committed to the educational goals of our school.  The role of the PTO is to support the educational program of Stone Elementary School, to encourage parental involvement and to promote a sense of community between the parents and the teachers.  
 

 

Last year (through the PTO), we:

·       Raised $17,000 through the Coyote Olympics

·        Contributed $500 to Music Department for guitars

·        Contributed $11,500 for 2 Outdoor Pavilions

·        Contributed over $700 to the Accelerated Reader Program

·        Provided over $2,700 for outdoor enhancements

·        Hosted Honors Programs

o       Each nine weeks

o       Year end

·        Hosted Teacher Appreciation luncheon

·        Contributed over $2400 to the teachers for classroom improvements

 This is just a sampling of what the PTO does to promote the welfare of our students.

We have many new ideas for the upcoming year.  Your input in encouraged and always welcome.  To join the PTO costs $3.00 per family.  Even if you cannot attend all the meetings, please join.  Please give the PTO careful consideration.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact one of us.  Thank you for supporting Stone Elementary through the PTO.
